People who just randomly run up to me and open a trade window without saying anything, giving me just enough time to see what item they're trying to flog, before cancelling and moving onto the next person presumably.
They're the Guild Wars equivalent of the dodgy street seller, flashing you the contents of his stolen-watch-lined trenchcoat.

It's fine if it's said in jest and cynicism. I just don't like it when it's a part of someone's normal internet vocabulary. I don't mind misspellings and bad grammar, that's understandable, but these things are deliberate mistypes and net shorthand that is just plain irritating.
EDIT: LOL at above! I don't really find that irritating, but I do find it hilarious. Happens so often. PuGs aren't dead, they're just usually made up of idiots running around playing "Marko! Polo!"

My peeves;
Having to ping my skills bar and change from skills I am use to using to skills I have no experience with just to join a group.
Having to buy skills in Factions and Nightfall, not being able to earn them.
Having to farm with old character to equip new characters, loot-scaling.
Running people who run with you and are suddenly afk when time to pay.
Sellers who are "offline" that say, "PM me."

My biggest peeve ever with this game is: Lagging/Rubber-banding on EVERY existing object in the game. I walk past a wall, Lag, and Rubber-band all the way back after walking 30 seconds forwards, Walking past a mob of monsters and then rubber-banding back into them, Only to be killed. It's just about the only thing in the game that makes my blood boil.
A prime example is yesterday when i was running around in Shing Jea: I ran past the storage area and between the boxes, Then proceeded to walk down to the area where the skill trainer is.. Only to see that NO ONE was there, so i was struck really funny and guessed it was just my video card messing up, Since i could still see all the spam from the people that were supposed to be there.. So i walked around for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, and finally i was shot back to the storage boxes where i was lagged the entire time.. >.> The reason behind this really escapes me, but oh well.

I don't see where he claimed to be better... just stated the fact that AB and RA are less organized, less skillful arenas. It's true, ask mostly anyone with a clue. Also, don't turn this thread into PvP vs PvE. There are plenty of other topics for you to whine about nerfs in.
My pet peeves: When people who are offline PM you, and start to get angry when you don't reply.
People who refuse to listen to solid advice, and call you an elitist. No, Eruption does not belong on a warrior. Your paragon should not be using Spiteful Spirit and a wand. Having common sense doesn't make someone elitist.

1 people spelling "there" instead of :their" or "they're". but mostly their cause i can see not wanting to spell they're.
2 "no instead of "know"
3 having four leechers on your team in fort aspenwood.
4 does not happen anymore, but before the battle isles came and there where just the little arenas in ascalon, yaks, and LA, going to LA's arena being lvl 19 and everyone rage quitting
5 although i do have an ele and a rit, not being able to find a party in pve cause im not a monk, ele, necro, or tank. and i mostly only get groups with my rit when there are no monks around and have to heal.
6 when someone swears and people complain about it and saying they are going to report you. honestly, why do people cry cause they turned their chat filter off.last time i checked the chat filter is automatically on high when you first get the game, so if they are that worried about seeing curse words they shouldn't have turned their filters off.

People who have to leave a few minutes after they start a mission: Srry, dinner time, gtg. >.< C'mon, check first or something if you can't set your own times.
If you do have to leave then have the common courtesy to log off, don't just go AFK and leech.
And that one annoying spaz on every run you'll ever take who won't shut the hell up. (I'm exaggerating, but they are especially prevelant on Drok's runs, in my experience at least.)

In No Particular Order
-PvP Players who come to PvE areas and spam their PvP Emotes
-Spammers of any kind (trade, lfg, guild, etc)
-Racists and immature players
-People complaining about The Game/Anet in the game...if you don't like it...LEAVE
-when you offer someone a decent amount of money for an item and they don't even respond with a "nty"...that's the least anyone should do...if you think it's lowball then make a counter offer. You're an ass for assuming your price is the only price, not everyone uses the same pricing guides/auctions to judge the price of an item.

WTS xxxx 10k.
Someone Pm's you. "How much?"
Or when you are selling 2-10 items. And they ask, can I see? What is their to see, I said the weapon stats and skin in trade! Also WHICH ITEM out of the 2-10 did you wanna see? Its not a huge annoyance, but its where I slap my face and worry about the world when people's IQ is seriously this low.
Kur?ick and suxon insults... seriously you are a degenerate. The difference between these two factions in AB is "Starting places" and it ends there. The difference in PvE is 1-2 missions a dozen or so quests and different "looking" armor. Otherwise please won't all you name calling boneheads please realise there is 0 difference between a Kurzick player and a Luxon player, ratbags like you are just degenerate racists that like to pray on anything that seperates people. People in a Luxon guild dont go home and pray to a different god, play a different way, all use teamchat to mob up, or play R/N's it's what all people do regardless of Faction alliance. Please raise your IQ above .5 and evolve if possible.
Rank spammers in HA, GvG, RA, TA, AB, PvE anywhere! Congratulations you have ascertained a rank something only achieved in HA. Sadly there isnt a spammable rank for AB,RA,TA,GvG,PvE accomplishments and as you can see HA isnt the only aspect of GW, you are NOT your rank, you are your skill level. I known of plenty ranked players who are horrible in HA, they have a high rank as it is ALL they play and yet they remain bad at it. Flashing a ranked title doesnt show skill it just says "hey, i can play one element of a game alot" the same as players who brag about 10mil+ xp, congratulations you've mastered farming along with 70% of the GW community and 90% of the GW PvE community. But being able to play one build in one area of the game repeatedly many hundred times doesnt make you better or special. Sadly boys, ecto will not make your penis bigger no matter how much you stroke your ego.
I also dislike people on GW who act like five year old babboons with a mental condition on meth and then try and legitimise their stupidity by claiming they're high or drunk. If they really are drunk/high they're idiots, if they're faking it and just want to act like an ass clown they're idiots. The majority of people can enjoy alcohol without drawing penises in game, and shouting vulgar language in TS/Vent, but normality escapes those without much grey matter.
And my BIGGEST pet peeve is Gaile abuse. She's a SPOKESWOMAN, she is a human being employed to listen to the community and get a vibe for whats goin on. She is not employed to be barraged with insults, just because you're hurling insults at her via text and not in person doesn't make it appropriate. Grow up and realise the world does not revolve around you and your demands, you have no right to insult another person and order them to do as you demand or else you will sulk. You are a child who needs to change their diaper and be smacked!

People selling something and forcing you to make an offer instead of telling you the price, then when you make an offer they suddenly go offline or don't respond.

Not in particular order...
-People who're using chatspeak/leetspeak in every sentence (plz/thx/wut/etc).
-People who're typing with CAPS LOCK on all the time, and when you ask them to stop with it, they don't know how or just ignore you.
-People who think they have a bigger chance to sell/find a party/etc, by spamming their message 5 times in a second, even if there are only like 3 people in the outpost.
-People trying to sell/trade their items while playing a mission.
-People bragging about their 'leet' weapons/items.
-People not listening to advice, or ignoring you, when you try to tell them they shouldn't be healing as Warrior, using Meteor Shower/Firestorm as Assassin, walking to the frontlines as Elementalist etc.
-People who force you to run 'cookie-cutter' crap (especially in Domain of Anguish).
-People who force you to offer when you tell them you're interested in their item (from above post's quote).
-People who're trying to take advantage of newbies or trying to scam other players.
-People who're trading/selling their Guild Wars gold/items/account for gold/items/accounts on other online games.
-People who never seem to be happy with the Guild Wars updates.
-People who're spamming emotes in towns and people dancing without armour equiped.
-People who're leaving a party when one small, little thing goes wrong or when the others don't want them to open a chest while playing a mission.
-People who have their status on Offline while they PM you, or when you want to PM them.
-People begging for free money/items.
-People looking for a runner to run them to a place or through a mission, and people who're offering their running service in a town.
-People offering help but want money in return.
I've probably forgotten some...
